With the rise of computers we could lose much of our skill at duplication.  CNC machines 
require few adjustments after the machines are programmed.  All the movements and
 processes are done mechanically with little thought or human engagement.  This is 
consistent, but very costly.  CNC requires experience and an intense learning curve to 
achieve the end product.  Also, for the home shop, farm shop, and most small 
shops, CNC machines are very expensive.

rabbit and groove joints, finger joints, consistently spaced dado’s, end 
cuts, blanks and more. Incidentally, there is one joint that you can use for
 almost every wood project and it is called the "Rabbit and Groove" 
joint. This joint is very strong and made very easily with our fixture.
