Will there be Economic Outsourcing till 2015?
___________

Job losses, Off-shoring, Outsourcing? What to do?

Filled with insight and provocative facts and ideas.
Reveals  many reliable, worker/insider opinions of outsourcing,
trade, and off-shoring.  Now...$50 million dollar trade imbalance per hour

Economic Security is Homeland Security, which means to rescue manufacturing,
saving jobs for people, professions and services....right?

Chuck Keiper ... One of the finest new singers in the land
has had a successful singing and recording career.
Maybe this song should be a new National Anthem!  Listen to
his  "keep the issue going" song  "Rise up together" by  Chuck Keiper

The biggest American employers recently are the lotteries, discount stores, waste disposal,
law enforcement , and  security firms.
Manufacturing is becoming one of our biggest
exports...(Exporting whole manufacturing operations).  Until we are fully informed of some problems in
America, we will never share the solutions needed to tackle what we are confronting now.  Information,
(lots of it, and often the unspoken, proprietary kind) is needed for business efficiency, growth,
advantage, and possibly survival.

Some young adults (and older ones too) will discern why this book was written.  They need to
be more prepared than ever for a challenging job market. They need to know some  of the history of
similar events, and the politics surrounding these issues more than ever. People  judge you by your
knowledge and character, and the two go hand in hand. By knowing as much as  possible, they can
make the best possible financial and professional decisions. Parents don't have the  time to
spend with kids, especially telling them about economics.

This is not meant to scare people, and is not written by some narrow  minded
self-interest agitator, and also, I am not trying to win a Nobel Peace Prize, a medal
or an award.  The word latchkey is rarely heard anymore.  The young often gamble
on their choice of schools, and our pets have become the source of much of our attention.
Putting Survivor on TV is not a solution to the economy.  Putting "economic survivor" is what
might have an affect.  Operation Survivor, or "tool envy survivor" would be more appropriate.

Even though some may say that this "Onslaught" description of the economy is
hyperbole and unnecessary,  I respectfully disagree. How many decades now have the islanders
in the Caribbean been told that hurricanes will wreak havoc on them one day? But what do people do?
Their islands get destroyed, at a very high cost and mental price. And then to compound the
problem, they repeated the same mistakes, because they didn't heed the danger. The warnings
were never straightforward enough. The survivors often heard the  "plain spoken" solution in
the face of one of natures biggest, most destructive weapon.  "Just rebuild the same way,
get it behind us, the insurance and government will take care of most of it."

Without communication, nothing changes.   Parents have known this since the beginning
of time. They have had to persuade kids not to leave a ball on the stairs, or soap in the tub.
Habit, custom, and convention is not what this book is about.  This book is filled with history,
common sense, meaningful ideas, and unconventional advice for manufacturing, trade, and
the economy.  It is not highly political.  It is filled with facts, rare stories and resources too.
Do we learn by example?

According to United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), China maintained
its investment inflow of $53billion in 2003, surpassing the United States. UNCTD said that Britain's
FDI (foreign direct investment) halved last year, to $14billion.

Lord Chesterfield said:   "Advice is seldom welcome, and those
who need it the most, like it the least"

According to
Workingamerica.org ..... every day over 80,000 workers lose their jobs.

If you don't live in a large city like Cleveland, Buffalo,  or Detroit, you may not feel
exporting, off-shoring, and outsourcing is a significant problem.  This
book is written by someone who has seen the state of  industry steadily decline.   Few will
attempt to state the facts, much less guess at the solutions and stop unemployment.
Someone has to bring forth rational ideas....

Aside  from everything bought on sale, are your living cost going up? Medical costs?  Education, Security and Medicine?  Can outsourcing save our economy?  It is well known, that if America should head into a depression, so will every other country.  So how do we justify exporting North American jobs?

This book can't solve monetary politics, but it have many great ideas.  Here are some topics discussed in this new e-book....

There is a great difference between worry and concern.
A worried person sees a problem, and a concerned person
solves a problem.....
Harold Stephens

1.  Many will say that we are in a "Post industrial economy, and that manufacturing is gone! Then, in the same sentence, they will say that we can't compete because we don't have the capacity or skills!  Read about some truly amazing ideas and research.
2.
Is it practical for workers to continue to drive hundreds
of miles back and forth to work every day?  Now we have long-distance travelers, dubbed  “stretch commuters,” who travel at least 50 miles each way to work.  The federal government estimates there are some 3.3 million stretch commuters and that one of every 200 trips to work in the United States is at least 50 miles long.

                                                                                                            Talking about mechanical efficiency here...

Sometimes once we admit that we need solutions, things will happen.  I do not
advise draconian methods of change.  Although not a significant thing, I think that there are still many sectors of society that ride the wave of living large whenever possible.  I don't feel that you need a Doctorate of Theology to notice some things.

Just the other day, they said that gas prices are going up again.  At the same time,  I was driving around town and saw a semi truck turning a corner that looked like the Grand Imperial Palace on wheels.  Efficiency is what started the idea of mass production, efficiency is what drove the muscle into mass production, and efficiency is what drives improvements in the whole economy. Lately gas prices have rebounded, but we shouldn't forget about efficiency, which is what caused all of our quality, growth and economic expansion.  Just when industry has started to solve the efficiency, automation problem, along comes outsourcing.

Isaac Newton once said "An object at rest tends to stay at rest.  I know this is too obvious, but we can't afford to rest when mechanical waste is abundant.  This is a good example of our economic mindset.  We tend to think that big and shiny is best, and familiar and small, and efficient is shameful.  The problem is, decision makers are all too very aware of Newton's other famous theory:  "For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction."  This is traditional economics.  We need to be efficient, and when we try, we find solutions.

Here is another axiom in manufacturing: When we take an action to reduce the expenditure of energy, we improve the economy.  This has nothing to do with cutting expenditures on expenses, towels, and employee wages.  Economizing also means to continue to buy efficient machines, lighting, heating, motors, solar, superconductors, and even wind and water power. These are traditional scientific facts known by economists worldwide.  Lean techniques are now being practiced and showing good results in many cases, but this book "News at Five" is not about Lean Technology.

If England did not search for more efficient fuels, it might still be burning coal in every drafty home and factory.  Instead they streamlined, improved their engines, improved technology and cut waste.  The problems is, they then sent too much work off-shore.  That is one reason why efficiency is not realized as a priority.  Third world's may have gotten much of the fruits of a century of labor.  Maybe they should now be able to sustain, while England and North America need their jobs to return.

Yes, industry needs to be efficient, it needs to improve its technique, it's processes and machinery.   As you will read, it also  needs outside help from technology, employees, patenting, science, and even journalism.

Not written by a "Bash the establishment malcontent", but a self professed
Anglophile (British) and Econophile (Geopolitical economics) with rational
solutions and suggestion.

Money is moving...
Changes are everywhere in world politics.....having moved towards new free markets.  At the same time, the huge loss of jobs in the traditional free markets has resulted in more cheap and willing labor available to US capital and technology abroad.  The question is, will the traditional free markets recover, or be prepared for the next wave of manufacturing activity.

Not all manufacturing in America is too risky.   Although many companies have
been losing business, here is one that has been aggressively advertising and reaching those
in "Beary High Places." It seems that they have risked it all on very elaborate and expensive ad
campaigns and it has really paid off. With all of the negative (and often correct) news that many
sectors of manufacturing are in decline, there are some that have broken out of the decline. First of
all, we need to understand that taking on risks does not mean plunging into things in a foolhardy
manner. One must know when to be risky and when to be prudent, and making bears with all of
the foreign competition was truly risky!  Read more about this American Teddy Bear
Manufacturer in the E-book.....

With all of the very true news about job losses, this company seems to be swimming
upstream amidst it's popularity from an expensive advertising gamble, great facility and
good, old fashioned "can do" attitude.
